DAV provides temporary CCTV and WiFi to The Coast Roads Festival

We were recently contacted by the organisers of the Coast Roads Festival near Barrow, they were enquiring about installing CCTV and WiFi on site during their festival. As part of their licensing they needed a to fulfil certain security requirements to ensure the safety of their customers and staff.

Installing CCTV and Wifi in the middle of a field presented several issues. One of which being that there is no existing infrastructure and no electricity. This also needed to be a temporary solution that would be able to be removed after the festival was over.

We built a series of temporary rigs and installed multiple cameras at all entrances and exits so that the security team would have a birds eye view of all of the access points. Our cameras were able to be viewed real time by the security team meaning that they could keep an eye on what is happening throughout the festival. We hooked the cameras up to a generator, providing stable and consistent power which meant that they could be positioned anywhere without the need for the mains supply.

We also installed a series of 4G routers on site, these would provide super quick internet for the organisers to manage the festival and contact people, these where again mounted on the temporary rigs and powered via a generator.

The organisers of the festival provided feedback telling us that “Without DAV we couldn’t of had the festival where it was, they worked with us to provide a fantastic temporary solution and their cameras and Wifi worked without a hitch, we will certainly be using them again next year”
