When a client in Kendal approached DAV – TV, Audio & Security Systems, they wanted to transform their basement into a fully immersive home cinema. The goal was clear: high-quality audio and visuals that felt like the real deal, while keeping within budget.
Tailored Design & Planning
Jamie carried out the initial site visit to assess the space, take accurate measurements, and create a design that matched the client’s expectations. Together, we agreed on a setup that would deliver a true big-screen experience in the comfort of their own home.
The Installation Process
Our engineer Zack led the project, starting with the first fix wiring:
- High-grade speaker cables for a 5.1 surround sound system
- HDMI sub cables for seamless device connectivity
- Precision-cut placements for ceiling speakers, ensuring a clean, professional finish
Once the room was decorated, Zack returned to complete the installation, which included:
- 🎥 Optoma UHD Projector with a 120″ fixed-frame screen for stunning 4K visuals
- 🔊 Monitor Audio ceiling speakers paired with a subwoofer for rich surround sound
- 🎛 AV receiver calibration to fine-tune audio for perfect room acoustics
📽 Projector adjustments to optimise brightness, contrast, and sharpness
The Final Result
The finished cinema room exceeded the client’s expectations. With crystal-clear visuals and immersive surround sound, the space instantly became their ultimate entertainment hub—ideal for movie nights, gaming, and live football.
