About DAV – Your Local TV, WiFi & Security Experts in South Cumbria.

At DAV, we help homes and businesses across Barrow, Kendal, Millom and the South Lakes stay safer, better connected, and ready for the future.

We’re a friendly, family-run business based in Barrow-in-Furness, proudly serving our local area with reliable CCTV, WiFi, audio-visual and security solutions. Whether you need to protect your home, improve your internet, or install a system that works properly for your business, our team is here to help.

DAV began back in 2008, and in the early days we were mainly aerial riggers. Since then, the business has grown steadily through genuine interest, hands-on experience, and a lot of learning over the years. What started with aerials and TV systems gradually expanded into CCTV, alarms, WiFi, internet solutions and larger commercial systems.

That growth has happened the right way — by building knowledge properly, staying curious, and making sure every job is done to a high standard.

Our customers include homeowners, small businesses, hotels, holiday parks and larger commercial sites. No matter the size of the job, the approach stays the same: good advice, tidy work, and a proper job from start to finish. We’ll even take our boots off at the door.

Our Values.

Quality local service is at the heart of everything we do. We use trusted technology, keep up to date with regular training, and always aim to give our customers the best possible service.

Straightforward, Honest Advice

We keep things simple and explain your options in plain English, so you can make the right choice for your home or business. No jargon, no pressure, and no trying to sell you something you don’t need.

Friendly, Local Service

We’re based right here in South Cumbria, and we’re proud to support our local community. When you deal with DAV, you’re dealing with real people who care about doing a good job and being easy to deal with.

Quality Workmanship You Can Trust

We take pride in doing the job properly. No shortcuts, no mess left behind, just neat installations and reliable systems that work how they should.

Aftercare and Support

We know technology can take a bit of getting used to, and we don’t disappear once the install is done. If you need help, advice, or support after the job, we’re here.

Meet the Team.

Jamie Graham

Founder & Engineer

Jamie started DAV in 2008 and has been in the trade for over 22 years.

He’s still very much hands-on and loves getting stuck into a job. From aerial installs in the early days to large CCTV, WiFi and commercial systems now, Jamie has built DAV through hard work, genuine interest in the trade, and a lot of real-world experience.

He loves black coffee, especially a good Italian blend, but is equally happy with a proper herbal tea. Outside of work, Jamie enjoys travelling in the campervan with his wife and DJing at clubs and festivals around the country.

Jamie loves problem-solving. Give him a mess of cables to wire, a tricky network to sort, or a big CCTV system to configure and he’ll be a happy man.

Superpowers – CCTV systems, WiFi installation, sound systems & projector installations

Paul Scott

Engineer

Paul is one of those people who can turn his hand to just about anything.

At 6’5”, there’s not a lot he can’t reach, and not much he can’t fix either. He’s calm, experienced, and a proper perfectionist — the sort of bloke who’ll happily stare into a spirit level until your TV bracket is absolutely spot on.

Paul loves black coffee or a good malt whisky. He’s got a wife and four kids, so coming to work can sometimes be the quiet part of his day.

Outside of work, he enjoys spending time with his family and taking things apart just to see how they work. That curiosity and patience shows in the way he approaches jobs — methodical, tidy, and done right.

Superpowers – Aerial rigging, TV installation, large TV systems & satellite installation

Jack Wilson

Engineer

Jack is the newest member of the DAV team and has settled in really well.

He’s methodical, keen to learn, tidy in the way he works, and great with customers. He takes pride in doing things properly and has quickly become a solid part of the team.

Outside of work, Jack is big into training and jiu-jitsu, and he’s also a serious eater. Big lunches, big takeaways, plenty of food — Jack’s always interested if there’s something decent to eat involved.

He brings good energy to the team and is building his knowledge the right way, with care, effort and attention to detail.

Superpowers – CCTV installation, Alarm Systems & Starlink Installations

Jen Rainford

Office Manager

Jen is the voice on the end of the phone and the person who keeps the office and shop running in ship shape.

She loves decaf tea or a bottle of fizz, but not the cheap stuff.

Jen enjoys spending time with family and loves throwing a good BBQ or party at home. She’s incredibly organised and the sort of person who, if left alone long enough, would probably have your whole house sorted into alphabetical order.

If you need to know what’s happening with an ongoing job, what’s coming up, or who’s where, Jen is usually the person to ask. She keeps everything moving behind the scenes and plays a massive part in keeping DAV running smoothly.

Jo Graham

Director / Office

Jo works in the office part time and is married to the boss.

She’s completely besotted with the family dog and spends her spare time either out in the great outdoors or in the gym. When she’s not in the office, you’ll usually find her out and about teaching people to drive.

Jo helps keep a tight ship in the office and is brilliant at keeping things on track. She’s also got a real talent for reading Ronnie better than anyone else — she always seems to know exactly when he wants a tummy rub.

Superpowers – Keeping the office in order & expert-level dog whispering

Ronnie

Head of Security

Ronnie is the DAV miniature dachshund and takes his role very seriously.

You’ll usually find him in the office with Jamie on a Monday, either curled up in his bed snoring or keeping a close eye on what’s going on. He loves belly rubs, likes to keep people in check, and has a habit of hopping onto customers’ knees if they sit still long enough.

He may be small, but he definitely thinks he’s in charge.

Superpowers – Snoring, customer relations & keeping standards high
